Red Patch Boys – Tailgate Schedule for this Season

TFC vs Philly Tailgate

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!

The RPB tailgate schedule for this year has finally been finalized. The following is a list of games where the tailgate team will be bringing out the tents and the BBQ’s for some pre-game grub, talking shop and even some banner work. The tailgate is open to everyone so just drop in and have a bite and meet your fellow RPB brothers and sisters or if you aren’t a member just learn what the group is about.

The RPB tailgate is setup in  the parking lot to the east of BMO Field on Nova Scotia Ave.  The following are some general things to keep in mind if you are planning on dropping by:

  • The tailgate team does provide vegetarian options.
  • Tailgates run rain or shine – within reason and cancellations are usually posted to Twitter and Facebook.
  • The RPB TG Team runs solely on donations
  • If you want to bring your own food you’re welcome to use the grills and equipment
  • Want to bring your own BBQ? Awesome! The more the merrier
  • As a reminder it is against the law in Ontario to consume alcohol in a public place – if you opt to do so it is at your own risk and if you do choose to do so please have it in a nondescript container.

With those guidelines out of the way the schedule is as follows:

Saturday, April 20, 2013 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (vs Houston; 4:00 PM Kick-Off)
Saturday, May 18, 2013 @ 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (vs Columbus; 5:00 PM Kick-Off)
Saturday, June 1, 2013 @ 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (vs Philadelphia; 6:00 PM Kick-Off)
Saturday, June 29, 2013 @ 10:00 AM – Noon (vs Real Salt Lake; 1:00 PM Kick-Off)
Saturday, July 20, 2013 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (vs New York; 4:00 PM Kick-Off)
Saturday, September 21, 2013 @ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (vs Sporting KC; 4:00 PM Kick-Off)

NOTE – Dates or times may change due to MLS schedule changes, CNE events, or other unforeseen circumstances.

As always, the RPB Tailgate Team will be working hard to bring you great food and good times to get hyped up on game day!

If you are a member and interested in getting involved with the tailgate team be sure to look over all the details in this thread here

Montreal Away – Travel Details

Courtest of TFCpics

Montreal Time!

Much like last year it seems Impact Front Office do not have it together until the last minute. Without further ado the itinerary for the game and our pre and post plans follow:

Friday

There are quite a few people going any pub or wandering adventure will be posted to Twitter (@redpatchboys) and Facebook and on the boards. Looking like a few will start their evening Mcleans and then move on.

 Saturday

We’ve got quite a bit of room set aside for us at Macleans pub located here. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get there starting around 11:30 but feel free to arrive sooner! It’s HIGHLY encouraged you pay cash as you go to prevent a a delay when we begin to leave. We have to leave McLeans before 2:00PM to arrive at the stadium at the right time. (that means start settling bills at 1:30PM)

Last year we ran into a major issue that caused delays in getting to the subway and that was the ticket machines in the Metro all broke except one. This caused a major backup and so to prevent this BUY YOUR METRO PASS BEFOREHAND OR PURCHASE A THREE DAY PASS. You will thank us for this great idea later.

If McLeans is full there maybe room next door at Peel pub alongside Usector. In addition tweet other bars to the RPB account and we will share

March 9th Pre-Game and March Details

Skydome-CCL

So far plans for pre-game are a large group holing up at Gretzky’s for 11-11:30 and getting a pint or 2 in before a march from Simcoe Park around the corner.

Directions to Simcoe Park: Google Maps

March is taking off at 12:30 so we can all get in the stands and get sorted before kickoff!!!

Even if you’re not into 99′s and are aiming to go to Loose Moose, Jack Astor’s or somewhere else, come by Simcoe Park for 12:30 and we’ll all sing our way to the Rogers Centre or whatever you like to call it.

ALSO: The point was made elsewhere that with only an hour or so it would be a smart idea to PAY AS YOU GO to avoid settling tabs when its time to get on the move. Here’s hoping to see some numbers at Simcoe Park!
